What better way to network than to spend a few quality hours on one the country's most prestigious golf courses? And so Bell Equipment Sales South Africa (BESSA) proudly hosted their second Central Region Golf Event at the challenging Royal Johannesburg and Kensington Golf Club, which played host to the 2013 Jo'burg Open event on the European Tour Calendar 2013.

The Central Region Golf Event has grown from its inaugural event in 2012 at Serengeti with a field of twelve four-balls, to a jam-packed 16 four-balls for 2013. The positive outlook for 2014 indicates even further growth for the event, due to the strong support by Bell Equipment customers.

Bell Equipment and its customers were once again blessed with a stunning windless day to tackle the challenging Royal Johannesburg and Kensington Golf course. The manicured course and greens added to the picturesque venue and tested each of the player’s skill and golfing prowess, some more than others, especially the higher handicappers on the day.

Regional Manager, Les Lothian teamed up with Bell sponsored professional golfer and brand ambassador, Warren Abery, together with Nehan Deysel of Liverio and Hein Grobler of WesBank. Their team proved to be a formidable combination securing second position in the Alliance competition format.

However, top honours went to the team of Kobus Van Niekerk (Bell Sales Representative), Arthur Potgieter (Aveng Grinaker), Hoffman Munroe (Palimino Plant) and Stan Barbour (Juggernaut).

Bell Equipment customers were pleased with various spot prizes, generously provided by Puma, and a luxurious two night stay for two at any Tsogo Sun, which were secured for the Bell Equipment Golf event by Warren Abery and his co-sponsors.

Photographer Charles Corbett added a special personalised touch by providing each four-ball with a commemorative photo print of their individual team on the day.
